I am so excited for Poor Things

The latest feature by Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favorite, The Lobster) follows Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman who's brought back to life as part of an experiment by the eccentric Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Desperate for freedom, Bella sets off on a grand adventure (with cinematography straight out of a children's storybook), journeying from yachts to islands to lavish banquets in an attempt to explore the world she's been lucky to get a second chance in.

With a star-studded cast that also includes Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Jerrod Carmichael, and Christopher Abbott, Poor Things is already lining up to be one of this year's must-see movies and Academy picks.

Poor Things releases in theaters on September 8.
