Why we like it

A mere $100 discount on a near-$1,000 vacuum is a big deal when the vacuum in question is a new Dyson release. The Gen5detect Absolute is the smaller, more lightweight of the two Gen5 cordless vacuums released in June (the larger $1,049.99 Gen5detect Outsize is not on sale). These are Dyson's most powerful cordless vacuums yet, pumping out 262 Air Watts of suction power compared to the next-best Dyson V15 Detect's 240 AW. All of that extra oomph doesn't take away from battery life — you can squeeze up to 70 minutes of cleaning out before charging the Gen5detect Absolute.

The Gen5detect vacuums have whole-machine HEPA filtration and ship with two cleaning heads: the Fluffy Optic head with a laser for illuminating dust and a Digital Motorbar with automatic hair detangling. The particular model on sale is a Dyson website-exclusive Prussian Blue colorway.
